Description
Gray Cottage, located at 23 Church Road in Liff, is a mid-19th century single-storey cottage with a rectangular plan, designed in a Picturesque style. The exterior features stugged snecked rubble with bull-faced ashlar quoins and window dressings, topped with a slate roof. The cottage has modern window frames that do not match its character, deep eaves with exposed rafters, decorative timber struts at the gables, and coped end stacks that rise through the eaves.
On the west elevation, there is a modern alloy door at the center, flanked by a rustic gabled porch and windows on both sides, along with a modern rooflight. The north gable has two windows on the ground floor and one in the attic. The east elevation includes a small addition. The interior has not been seen.
