Description

The Hearse House at Liff Parish Church, dated 1876, is a single-storey building with a rectangular plan. It is constructed from stugged rubble with stugged ashlar dressings featuring droved margins, topped with a slate roof. The roof has flat-coped, joggle-jointed skews, bracketted and gabletted skewblocks, and a decorative cast-iron finial on the east side, along with a central corniced ridge stack.

On the east gable, there is a tall, wide round-headed carriage entrance with an arch that has fixed boarding from the springing point and boarded doors. The south elevation features an opening to the left that is boarded at the bottom with six fixed panes above, and to the right, there is an eight-pane sash and case window. The north elevation is blank, while the west gable has a door to the right, with the northern boundary wall of the churchyard abutting to the left. The interior has not been seen.
