The Cottage, 11 Fowlis Road, including boundary walls, Liff

The Cottage on Fowlis Road is a mid-19th century single-storey and attic cottage, which has an L-shaped plan due to a single-storey bay at the rear. The front features stugged coursers and snecked rubble with quoin strips, while the rest of the building is made of random rubble, topped with a slate roof. It has eight-pane sash and case windows with smooth margins at the front, deep eaves with plain bargeboards, and linked corniced end stacks that rise through the eaves.

On the south elevation, there is a panelled door with a fanlight to the center left, a window to the right, and a rooflight along with a bipartite dormer above. The gable on the left is slightly advanced and features a bipartite window with a slab canopy on the ground floor and a round-headed window in the attic gable.

The west gable has a window, while the north elevation and east gable are not visible. The interior has not been seen. The property is also enclosed by rubble boundary walls.
