6 Glasgow Road, Middle Norton

This building is a single-storey, three-bay cottage from the earlier 19th century, with a two-bay addition on the east side. It is part of a row of cottages in Middle Norton that face north along Glasgow Road. The structure is made of coursed whinstone, featuring droved sandstone margins and dressings, with quoins.

On the northeast elevation, there is a centrally located door that is boarded and has a fanlight above it. To the outer left, there is a recessed two-bay block that includes a lower flat-roofed porch on the east return. The cottage is linked to No. 7 by a pend that now has a door.

The windows are 12-pane sash and case style, and the roof is made of graded grey slate. The building has ashlar coping at the skews and coped ashlar stacks at the apex. The property is bordered by a low coursed rubble wall with slab coping.
