8 Glasgow Road, Middle Norton

This mid-19th century single-storey cottage, located at 8 Glasgow Road in Middle Norton, was originally two separate terraced cottages, consisting of a three-bay section and a later two-bay addition. The building is constructed from coursed whinstone, featuring droved sandstone margins and quoins.

On the northeast elevation, there is a gablet above the door in the penultimate bay to the left, with the name 'Middle Norton' inscribed in a frieze above the door, which is modern. There are flanking windows, and a former door has been blocked and converted into a window in the penultimate bay to the right, with an additional window in the outer right bay.

The cottage has uPVC windows and a graded grey slate roof, with ashlar coping on the skews and gablet, as well as an ashlar mutual skew. The ridge stack is rendered and coped, while there is an outer brick apex stack.
