Description
Rosemill Cottage Dovecot is a 17th-century structure that was extended in the 18th century. It features a circular plan that has been modified into a D-plan through the extension, and is designed as a lectern-type dovecote. The exterior is constructed from harl-pointed pink and grey rubble, with large irregular quoins and a collapsed slate roof. There is a rat course that steps down at the bowed section, and the skews are flat-coped. The west side has doors with chamfered jambs, which were later extended to ground level. A later window has been inserted into the north elevation.
Inside, the original part contains small rubble and stone nesting boxes, while the extension features larger stone slab nesting boxes.
