58-62 Murray Street, Montrose

58-62 Murray Street is an 18th-century, two-storey and attic, four-bay tenement that has undergone later alterations. It forms part of an irregular terrace with shops on the ground floor. The front is finished with painted and lined render, while the rear features drydash.

On the principal elevation, the shopfront is located to the right (No 58), with a window to the right that has a low cill and a door to the left. There is a central doorway (No 60) with two-leaf doors. To the left (No 62), there is another shopfront, a door to the right, and a window to the left with a low cill. A pend entrance is situated at the extreme left. The first floor has four windows, and there are two piended dormers above.

The north elevation adjoins 56 Murray Street, while the south elevation adjoins 64 Murray Street. The west elevation features a central projection with a window in the return to the right. There is a pend entrance to the right with a window above on the first floor, and a bay to the left that has windows on both the ground and first floors.

The building has modern timber pivoting windows with plate glass and a grey slate pitched roof. There is a shouldered brick wallhead stack on the projection to the west and a small wallhead stack to the right.
