125 Murray Street, Montrose

125 Murray Street in Montrose is an 18th-century building consisting of two adjoining houses arranged in an L-plan, with shops on the ground floor as part of a terrace. The exterior features a combination of harl and render with plain margins.

The west elevation, which is the principal front, has a gable end to the left and is harled. It stands three storeys tall with a modern shopfront at ground level made of plate glass. There are two bays on the first and second floors, although the window to the right on the second floor is blocked. To the right, there is a two-storey section that has lined render, with a shopfront at ground level, a door and window to the right, and a door to the left. The first floor has three windows.

The east elevation features a gable-ended section that projects to the right, alongside a closely built gabled building to the left. The windows are modern. The southern section has a grey slate roof, while the gable-ended house has a corrugated roof. There is a brick gablehead stack on the west side, with coped skews and skewputts to the west, and a coped skew with a brick stack on the party wall to the south.

The interior was not seen in 1997.
