Laws Lodge, Drumsturdy Road

Laws Lodge, built around 1836, is a single-storey, L-plan lodge designed in the Elizabethan style, with some later additions. The building features cherry-cocked masonry, mostly with pointed details, and a slate roof.

The west elevation has a gable on the left with a bipartite window that has chamfered margins. Above this window is a St George's cross armorial, with a modern horizontal window directly above it. There is an entrance porch at the re-entrant angle, featuring a Tudor arch with modern infill and door, along with two finialled pediments. To the right, there is a later addition, and the central ridge stack has a cornice with two corniced angle stalks.

On the north elevation, there are two slightly advanced gables, each with bipartite windows that have chamfered margins and gun slits. The east elevation includes a modern addition on the left that obscures the original wallhead stack, while the original gable on the right mirrors the west elevation, featuring a gun slit instead of the armorial.

The property is complemented by five square-plan chamfered and tapered gatepiers, which are topped with decorative cast-iron railings on a low stone wall.
