3 Evan Street, Stonehaven

3 Evan Street in Stonehaven is an early 19th-century, two-storey and attic, four-bay terraced shop with dwellings above. The building is constructed from coursed squared rubble.

On the principal elevation, there is a central dividing pier featuring a fixed display window and an in-canted shop doorway with a part-glazed door and fanlight located in the bay to the right. To the left, there is a two-part display window, all adorned with decoratively-capitalled colonettes and an under fascia that includes a blind, cornice, and flanking console brackets. The outer bays have further doors, with the right door being a panelled timber door with a plate glass fanlight, and the left door serving as a pend entrance. The first floor has four regularly-disposed windows, and there are two piended bipartite dormer windows with cills positioned below the eaves.

The windows feature a 4-pane glazing pattern in heavily detailed replacement timber sash and case style, complete with trickle vents. The roof is covered in grey slates, and there are coped rubble and harled stacks with thackstanes and some cans, along with an ashlar-coped skew to the west.
