Description
Daviot Parish Church, built in 1798, features a rectangular plan and includes a ball-capped birdcage bellcote, a circular window, and a built-up door on the west gable. The south flank has three round-arched windows. The church is constructed from dark granite with pinnings and lighter dressings. There is a later vestry added to the east gable, which is dated 1958 at the lintel. The interior was refurnished and redecorated in 1922, 1934, 1936, and 1949, with further alterations made in 1958. The Mowat Bell, originally from 1752 or 1753, was recast by Warner in 1923.
