Description
The Commercial Hotel on High Street in New Aberdour is a later 18th century building that has been expanded and modified over time. It features a two-storey range with houses of different builds, with the southernmost four bays being the earliest part of the structure, while the rest dates from the early to mid-19th century. The building has a 9-bay frontage that is harled with contrasting painted margins. There are two doorways and small first-floor windows, which have modern glazing, in the earliest section. The rear of the building includes various additions, including a substantial two-storey range that is set at right angles to the main structure. The windows primarily consist of four-pane glazing. The roof is covered with slate and features coped ends and ridges, along with chimney stacks.
