Description
Mill Farmhouse in Old Aberdour dates from around 1820-1830. It is a two-storey, three-bay house with a slightly later single-storey and dormerless attic, featuring a two-bay wing at the east gable. The exterior is harled with tooled ashlar granite margins. The central entrance has a panelled door and a fanlight with margined glazing. The ground floor windows are slightly longer than those on the first floor, and the rear of the house has symmetrical fenestration with a central stair window and 12-pane glazing. The house has coped end stacks and slate roofs.
Inside, the fittings include simple ceiling cornices, a plain wooden balustrade on the staircase, and beaded panelled doors with moulded door frames. A short row of decorative spearhead cast-iron railings projects from the east gable.
