Description
This building at 15 Low Street in New Aberdour dates from around 1870 and is a two-storey, three-bay house with a two-storey, two-bay rear wing. The main front features dark stugged or 'Aberdeen bonded' whinstone, accented with contrasting tooled pale granite dressings. The gables are harl pointed, and the street-facing side of the rear wing is made of tooled pale grey granite with dark whinstone stugging. The central bay of the main front is advanced and gabled, with a doorway and mainly 12-pane glazing. The building has coped end stacks and a local slate roof.
The front garden is enclosed by a low coped wall with cast-iron railings. The pedestrian entrance is flanked by square tooled ashlar gatepiers topped with shallow pyramidal caps, and there are coped rubble walls elsewhere.
