Garden Arms Hotel, Main Street, Gardenstown

The Garden Arms Hotel, located on Main Street in Gardenstown, dates from the mid to late 18th century. This building is two stories high with a dormerless attic and features five irregular bays, which were originally two separate dwellings: one with two bays and the other with three bays. The exterior is harled with contrasting painted margins. The front has an alternating pattern of window, door, and window, with irregular fenestration on the first floor that includes only three windows, plus a single window in the east gable. The windows mainly have two-pane glazing. The building has coped end and ridge stacks and a slate roof with loft lights. There is a modern single-storey lean-to addition at the east gable.
