Description

18th century house with later additions and alterations. 2-storey, 4-bay (bays grouped 3-1), L-plan, piend-roofed house with 2 stone forestairs, in irregular terrace overlooking harbour. Large coursed and squared, sandstone rubble blocks; harled to side; random rubble to rear. Vertically-boarded timber doors.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: single window to each floor at outer left; forestair (incorporating later porch) with ashlar steps and modern metal railings rising from left to 1st floor door in bay to left of centre; further window to each floor in bay immediately to right. Bay to outer right with modern vehicular gate under saddleback ashlar lintel and single window off-set to right above. Boulder pall-stone and canted angle mitred to square at right.

E ELEVATION: harled elevation with forestair rising from right of centre to outer right 1st floor window converted from door.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: ground floor obscured by ancillary building, 2 windows at 1st floor and piended projection at outer right with door and 2 windows above.

4-pane glazing pattern in replacement timber sash and case windows. Grey slates and small modern rooflights. Coped ashlar ridge stacks with cans.
