Description

The sundial at Old Tolbooth on the Old Pier in Stonehaven dates from 1710. It is a free-standing structure featuring a cubic sandstone head with chamfered angles. The horizontal dial is complemented by a wrought-iron gnomon. The sundial has a short, square-section shaft, which also has chamfered angles and is offset below the head.
