Collie Lodge, Collie Road, Banff, Duff House

Collie Lodge, located on Collie Road in Banff, was designed by William Robertson of Elgin in 1836. This single-storey, three-bay building originally served as a gate lodge for Duff House. It is constructed from tooled and polished ashlar sandstone. The lodge features a pedimented tetrastyle fluted Greek Doric portico, with a central double-leaf panelled door that has an original decorative fanlight above it. There are flanking windows that have later glazing. The building has set-back return gables, each adorned with angle pilasters and a central window. A moulded eaves cornice sits above a deep frieze and eaves course. At the rear, there is a wallhead stack, and the roof is a shallow piended slate design.

Additionally, there are two freestanding squat ashlar cast-iron lamp standards on battered panelled ashlar plinths.
