Description
18 Shorehead in Stonehaven is an early 19th-century, altered, two-storey, three-bay L-plan house situated in a prominent location overlooking the harbour. The building is rendered with raised margins.
The entrance elevation is symmetrical, featuring a modern door in the central bay at ground level, with a small window above it. There are enlarged bipartite windows in the flanking bays on both floors, along with two modern rooflights.
The north elevation has a gabled design, with a small window to the left of the centre at ground level and an outer right chamfered angle that is corbelled to a square above ground.
The house has modern glazing throughout, which is out of character with the original design. It is topped with grey slates, and features coped rendered stacks with cans and ashlar-coped skews.
