Description
3 Castle Street in Stonehaven is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay traditional terraced house. The exterior is finished in stucco that mimics ashlar stone, featuring a base course and raised window cills.
On the northwest (principal) elevation, the bays are grouped to the left. There is a step leading up to a panelled timber door located in the centre bay at ground level, with windows in the flanking bays and a regular arrangement of windows on the first floor.
The house has timber sash and case windows with a four-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates and includes two small modern rooflights. The chimney stacks are coped with stucco and have cans, while the skews are ashlar-coped with block skewputts.
