Description

Dated 1801, probably containing earlier fabric. 3 storeys, wide

3 bays. Harled, painted margins.

Ground floor filled by early 20th century shopfront with long fascia board and delicate cast-iron mullions supporting shallow segmental-headed fretted overthrows; entry to hotel in return

gable to Strait Path.

Large blind Venetian window in centre of lst floor with flanking windows; 3 2nd floor windows break wallhead under piended gables; 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Coped end stacks, at S with early 18th century style moulded cope; flat skews with run-off skewputts; slate roof.

REAR: 2-storey, 2-bay return gable (2,4 Strait Path) with doorway. 1 small and 1 larger window in lst floor. Also entrance to yard with small 2-storey, irregular 2-bay white washed rubble cottage (old jail); centre door, varied fenestration including 2 very small lst floor lights and 2 blind windows. Corrugated-iron roof.
