Description

8 Strait Path in Banff is a house dating from around 1800, likely incorporating some earlier materials. It is a 2-storey structure that was originally designed with three bays and features an additional doorway for No 8. The exterior is harled, with contrasting painted ashlar or rendered margins. The first-floor windows are located only in the outer bays and are larger than those on the ground floor. The ground floor has timber sash and case windows with 4-pane glazing, while the first floor has 12-pane glazing. The house has renewed end stacks and a slate roof with pottery ridge tiles.
