Description
Westwood Cottage, located within the Forglen House Policies, is a single-storey estate cottage dating from the mid-19th century. The cottage features three bays and is harled, with Turriff sandstone margins. The central door is topped by a letterbox fanlight and is flanked by painted windows, with an additional window on the left return. A later gabled wooden porch with a finial and tree trunk columns has been added to the entrance. The windows are sash and case style, featuring a 12-pane glazing pattern. The building has ashlar coped skews, corniced stacks, and is covered with grey slates, with skylights present in the attics.
