Walled Garden Cottage, Forglen House

Walled Garden Cottage, located near Forglen House, dates from the mid-19th century and has a later addition. It is a single-storey, three-bay gardener's cottage situated next to a walled garden, with an additional bay added to the south. The cottage is constructed from squared and coursed whinstone rubble, harled, with Turriff sandstone margins and sturdy stone mullions for the bipartite windows.

The east elevation features the three-bay cottage with a centrally placed door, which is a six-panelled design with glazed upper panels. On either side of the door are bipartite windows with 8-pane sash and case glazing. The wide additional bay to the south has a window on the outer left with a 4-pane glazing pattern, and there is also a window on the north gable.

The roof is covered with grey slates and has overhanging, slightly swept eaves. The three-bay cottage includes shouldered ashlar diamond stacks, and there is a finial on the south gable.
