Garden Cottage, Forglen House

Garden Cottage at Forglen House is a mid-19th century estate cottage that is single storey with an attic and features three bays. The exterior is harled and has Turriff sandstone margins. The central door includes a letterbox strip and is topped by a fanlight. There is a later gabled wooden porch supported by a tree trunk column, which is painted. On the ground floor, there are windows flanking the door, and the attic has two canted piend-roofed tripartite dormers on the outer bays, with a skylight in the center. The windows are sash and case with a 4-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with grey slates, and the building has ashlar coped skews with angled skewputts. The chimney stacks are shouldered with paired, polygonal, corniced flues, which may have been added later.
