Description
The walled garden at Brucklay Castle, likely built in the early to mid-19th century, features some blocked openings. It has a rectangular plan with rounded angles and a fine ironwork gate. The structure is made of brick topped with a flat ashlar coping. It includes stugged long and short quoins, as well as ashlar and brick voussoirs. There are segmental-arched openings on the west and north sides, and square-headed openings on the north and east sides, the latter of which has a hooped ironwork gate. Additionally, there are remains of a circular ashlar fountain.
On the south elevation, there is a dwarf wall at the center with decorative ironwork railings on either side, flanking a segmental-arched decorative ironwork two-leaf gate that features scrollwork cresting.
