Description
The walled garden at Dunesk, Green Lane, Lasswade, dates from the earlier 19th century. It features a fan-shaped design and is situated on rising ground to the west, southwest of the main house. The walls are constructed of sandstone rubble with a flat ashlar coping. At the eastern corner, there are square-plan droved ashlar gatepiers topped with ball finials, and replacement wrought-iron gates. Additionally, there is a square-plan lean-to tool shed located at the eastern corner, which has a grey slate roof and a coped skew. The shed also has a timber eaves fascia and a pediment over the door, although the timber has been replaced.
