Description
The walled garden at The Old Manse, located at 1-4 Station Road in Balfron, dates from the late 18th to early 19th century. It has an irregular shape, primarily following a rectangular plan with curved sections of wall on the south and east sides. The walls are constructed of coursed sandstone rubble topped with squared stugged sandstone coping. There are entrances located to the southeast and a larger entrance to the west. Additionally, there is a 20th century lean-to greenhouse attached to the north wall.
