Description
This private burial ground, established in 1875, features a flight of ashlar steps flanked by dwarf walls, dies, and urns that lead to a small family burial area. The burial ground is enclosed with hooped ironwork railings and a two-leaf gate, and it includes a granite obelisk.
The granite obelisk stands on a stepped base and has an inscribed plinth. It serves as a memorial to William Dingwall-Fordyce, who died in 1875, James Alexander Dingwall-Fordyce, who died in 1988, and Robert Dingwall-Fordyce, a Major in the Royal Scots Greys, who died in 1935. Additionally, there are various small headstones, including a Celtic Cross memorial dedicated to Rachel Dingwall-Fordyce, who lived from 1843 to 1918.
