Description

1815, clock tower added 1876. Former parish church. 4-bay long S elevation; clock tower with doorway in base at W gable; further entrance at E. Coursed dark rubble, contrasting sandstone ashlar dressings. 4 round-headed, keystoned windows light long S elevation; deep moulded eaves cornice.

4-stage clock tower with corbelled and crenellated parapet, abuts W return gable; louvred Venetian window in 3rd stage venting bell loft with clock face in stage above. 2-storey porch at E gable with crenellated wallhead. Multi-pane bordered glazing to long S windows; slate roof. Modern rear single storey addition.

INTERIOR: nothing of interest survives.

WAR MEMORIAL: kilted soldier on plinth standing on stepped base; inscription to fallen of l914-18 and (additionally) 1939-45 wars. Low spearhead cast-iron railing encloses memorial.
