Description
18 Shillinghill in Portsoy is a mid 18th century building that originally consisted of two dwellings. It features a 2-storey and dormerless attic design with a 5-bay range facing the street to the north. The building has a modern harl finish over rubble, with painted margins or reveals.
The facade is regular, with no 18 located at the lower end of the sloping site. The ground floor has an alternating window-door arrangement, while the first floor has five slightly irregularly sized windows. The west return gable includes a single ground and first floor window, along with a small central attic light. The doors are panelled and part-glazed, with no 18 featuring a two-leaf door. The building has harled end and ridge stacks, flat skews, a slate roof, and a tile ridge.
