The doorway includes a letterbox fanlight, a flanking window, and a pair of first-floor windows, along with a datestone at the apex on Institute Street. The return gable to Church Street has paired ground-floor windows and a small bipartite window on the first floor. The windows, door, and corners exhibit long and short detailing. The building has 4-pane timber sash and case glazing. The 2-storey block has a piended slate roof, while the hall has a sated roof, and there are coped concrete end stacks.
