Former Aberdeen Iron Works, Wellington Street And St Clement Street, York Place, York Street

The former Aberdeen Iron Works, located at the junction of Wellington Street and St Clement Street, is a large commercial building from the late 19th century, measuring 16 by 20 bays. The west elevation, facing Wellington Street, features a distinctive run of five gables. The exterior is constructed from coursed, snecked granite rubble and includes regularly spaced segmental-arched openings, some of which have been infilled. Notable details include cyma recta corbel features at the corners on the north and west sides. The building has large two-leaf timber sliding doors on both the east and west elevations, and there is a 20th-century gabled roof extension on the east side.

Inside, the space is open and features a steel-framed structure. There are remnants of rail tracks visible on the floor. The upper storey predominantly has 12-pane metal windows, while the lower storey openings have been infilled.
