Description

The guardroom at Gordon Barracks in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, was designed by J and W Wittet around 1935. It is a single-storey structure with five bays and features a wide verandah on the north side. The building is constructed from squared, pinned granite rubble, accented with finely tooled ashlar dressings and long and short quoins. It has a central door flanked by four barred windows, straight skews, and a slate roof.

The gatepiers and gates consist of four squared gatepiers with chamfered angles and angled caps. The two central piers are topped with bronze lamps, and there are simple wrought-iron gates.
