Description
This building was surveyed in the First Survey but not listed. A partial record only was taken during the Second Survey as the building is not worthy of a full survey. Lock and lock keepers house on Newry canal. Lock chamber approx 60ft long and of coursed squared granite blocks with rubble stone abutments. Modern concrete footbridge with galvanized metal railings spans lock. Associated one-and-a-half-story three bay lock keepers house flanked by single storey outbuildings all now derelict.
