House, Drumbealimy, Newtownbutler, Co Fermanagh, BT92 6HW

This is a one-and-a-half storey, three-bay vernacular house located on a lane to the west of Drumbealimy Townland, County Fermanagh. It is aligned southwest-northeast. The house dates from approximately 1820 to 1839 and is shown on the 1836 Ordnance Survey 6-inch map. Although now fitted with modern facilities, it retains some of its original character.

The house has a pitched natural slate roof with two brick chimneys, one positioned on the party wall between each bay. An advanced eaves course supports half-round metal rainwater goods. The walls are wet-dashed over a cement-rendered base course. All windows are 2/2 sliding sashes set in narrow, painted cement-rendered reveals, with painted stone cills, except where noted. The principal elevation faces southeast. The central bay features a t+g-sheeted door to the left and a window to the right. The left and right bays each contain a window at their centre. The left gable has windows on both floors, with the upper floor window slightly reduced in height. The rear elevation includes a window to the left-hand side of the central bay, alongside a small, similarly detailed window set just below eaves level on the right. The left bay has a horizontally divided 2/2 sliding sash window. The right gable has a window to the upper floor. The setting comprises a small garden to the rear and a complex of modern farm buildings to the northeast, with the house situated directly facing the lane. The building was formerly recorded as derelict.
