Description

A single-storey Orange Lodge with central projecting entrance porch aligned NE-SW set to the NE of Rose Lough. Pitched natural slate roof with rendered chimney to each gable. Advanced eaves course supporting half round cast-iron rainwater goods. Walls are wet dashed and painted over random rubble. Principal elevation faces NW. It is abutted to centre by a projecting porch detailed as main block. Its end face contains the entrance set within a semicircular-headed opening; door is t+g sheeted with a plainly glazed transom over. A thin timber architrave rests on plinth blocks. Above door is a datestone reading A.D./1899. Left and right cheeks are blank. To either side of the entrance porch on main block is a boarded window with painted stone cill. Left and right gables are blank. Rear elevation is abutted to left end by a modern lean-to return. The exposed section is blank. Return is constructed with concrete blocks and finished as main block. It has a corrugated metal roof and all exposed faces are blank. Setting To front is a small garden enclosed to lane by a concrete wall with square-in-section gate piers carrying a cast-iron gate.
