Gate House, Killyvilly, Rosslea, Co. Fermanagh, BT92 4DS

This is a mid-19th century gate house, located opposite the entrance to Lismacsheela House. It is a symmetrical, single-storey, two-bay roadside lodge aligned southwest-northeast at the north end of Killyvilly townland. The roof is hipped with terracotta tiles, including tiled ridge pieces, and features a red brick chimney positioned centrally. Boxed eaves are present, and rainwater goods have been lost. The walls are lime rendered over a random rubble stone core. The main, northeast-facing elevation has a central door opening with remnants of a semicircular door frame. Flanking the door are Gothic-headed windows with stone sills. The left and right elevations are blank. The rear elevation has a window opening, currently boarded with sheet metal, set towards the right end of the left bay. The building was first noted on the 1857 Ordnance Survey 6-inch map, indicating a construction date between 1840 and 1859. It was formerly used as gates, screens, or a lodge and currently retains this function.
