Bridge, Deer Park and Lisnawesnagh, Rosslea, Co Fermanagh

This is a small-scale bridge, likely built between 1840 and 1859, carrying a two-lane road over a stream within the Deer Park and Lisnawesnagh area of Rosslea, County Fermanagh. The bridge features a single, skew semicircular span. Although the bridge is set at an angle, the inner soffit stones are laid in straight lines. The structure is built with dressed sandstone voussoirs, featuring rusticated keystones. The abutments are constructed from dressed sandstone blocks, while the spandrels and parapets are made of squared sandstone rubble, topped with large, pitched blocks. The parapets terminate in square piers with slightly raised, rusticated caps. A metal pipe runs across the upstream (western) face of the bridge. The bridge first appears on the Ordnance Survey 6-inch map of 1857, confirming its mid-19th century construction. While it is not considered to have any particular architectural or historical merit, it is recognised for its industrial archaeological interest.
