Description
The gate lodge, constructed between 1900 and 1919, served as a gate house to Annaghard House. It was a two-bay, one-and-a-half storey building. The roof was pitched and covered in natural slate. The external walls were white washed with a wet dash finish. The front elevation featured a two-pane window to the left and a six-pane sliding sash window to the right. A single red brick chimney was located in the centre. The gate lodge was first documented in the valuation revision book of 1903. It has since been demolished, and the site remains vacant. It displayed vernacular characteristics.
