Description

Non-identical pair of single storey terrace dwellings of possible pre 1834 construction, now derelict. The pair is set on the south east side of Main Street, Greyabbey. The front NW elevation of No.97 (to the left) is asymmetrical with a left of centre dilapidated timber stable door with fanlight (without glass). There is one window opening to the left of this doorway, with two to the right, all are boarded. There is a modern garage attached to the NE gable and a small attic window opening high in the exposed section of the gable. No.95 has a central doorway with plain sheeted timber door and a glassless fanlight. There is a single window opening to both left and right of the doorway, both of which are boarded. Both houses are finished in rough cast render with a corrugated asbestos pitched roof and three rendered chimney stacks. No.95 has a cast iron down spout and some dilapidated guttering. There was no access to the rear. The entire block is in very poor condition.
