Description

This milepost, dating from the 1860s, is located at NGR ST 2355 2057. It was made by Allen and Co in Taunton and is constructed from cast iron. The milepost has a triangular shape with a sloping top. On the south face, it is inscribed in raised letters "Taunton 3," and on the north face, it reads "Honiton 15 3/8." This milepost is part of a notable collection of mileposts along the Taunton-Honiton road.
