Byre, about 10 metres north-east of Dowlish Manor Farmhouse (formerly listed as part of Manor House, with three outbuildinqs) 4.2.58

GV II

Byre. Probably late C18. Ham stone rubble; hipped thatched roof. Plain on long south side; on north mostly open, with timber posts of several types carrying collar trusses, some apparently reused; towards west end an enclosed section with 2 boarded doors in heavy frames. Cobbled floor throughout, with upstand for mangers all along south will. About 45 metres long, this building is aligned with the great barn (qv) and has considerable group value with Dowlish Manor Farmhouse (qv), VAG Report, unpublished SRO, undated).
