Description
The Packhorse Bridge is a footbridge that crosses a ford and stream, likely dating from the 17th century. It is constructed from ham stone that has been cut and squared, with ashlar dressings. The bridge features two semi-circular arches and has an angled cutwater on the central pier on the east side. The trackway is arched, and the low parapets, which are one stone high on each side, follow the line of the track. The parapets extend outwards and are finished with a plain chamfered top.
