Description

Apple Cottage and South Dene are two attached cottages located on Maunsel Road in North Petherton. The cottages date from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. They are rendered and feature wide bracketed eaves, a double Roman tile roof, and three brick stacks. The buildings are two storeys high and have a total of five bays, with three bays for Apple Cottage and two bays for South Dene. The windows are 19th and 20th century casements, two of which have leaded lights. The entrance to Apple Cottage has a 20th-century door, while the original doorway to South Dene has been blocked, and a new doorway is now located on the right side of the building.
