Description

This gateway and flight of steps, dating from the 18th century, serves as the roadside entrance to Great House Farmhouse. It features a pair of tall brick gate piers topped with dressed stone caps and terracotta urns that have ball finials. The structure includes a flight of 10 stone steps and is flanked by coursed and squared rubble walls. This gateway is an important feature along the roadside.
