Description
Impens Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th or 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The exterior is roughcast with a slate roof that has wide eaves and brick stacks. It stands two storeys high and features renewed 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned windows on the ground floor, which have drips. There is a 3-light moulded wooden-mullioned window to the left of the first floor, complete with a stopped label. To the left, there is a two-storey wing that mainly has 3-light 19th-century casements. The entrance has a 19th-century four-panelled door and a 20th-century trellis. At the back, there is a two-storey 19th-century wing that is at right angles to the main structure. Inside, there is a panelled room with a carved overmantel dated 1649, along with other lesser features.
