Description
Kings Cottage and Apple Tree Cottage are a pair of detached cottages dating from the 18th century. They are constructed of cob and scantling timber-frame with brick infill. Each cottage has two bays and is one and a half storeys high, with 20th-century additions at the rear. Kings Cottage is set back from the road, while Apple Tree Cottage is positioned to the right, facing the road.
Kings Cottage features a 20th-century door located to the left of center, two 2-light casement windows, and a 3-light casement window above the door in an eyebrow dormer. The roof is hipped and has a central ridge stack. Apple Tree Cottage has an outshot on the far bay and end, with a 20th-century door and a 3-light window. The road-facing bay has an overhanging roof supported by scantling timber and features 2-light casement windows. The roof is half hipped, with a ridge stack over the road end bay.
