Description

Hillside is an early 18th-century cottage featuring a timber frame with colourwashed brick infill and a thatched roof. The building is one and a half storeys high and has two outshots at either end, positioned end-on to the road. The central entrance consists of a planked door set within a 19th-century gabled timber canopy that has ornate bargeboards. On either side of the door, there are three-light casement windows. At the road end of the outshot, there is a modern two-light oriel window, and at the far end, there are two small two-light casements. The roof has two eyebrow dormers and is hipped and swept down, featuring a ridge piece and a central stack.
