Description

This is a late 18th-century house with a forecourt and railings. The house has rendered walls with rusticated end pilasters, a parapet with a moulded coping, a pantile roof with coped verges, and brick end stacks. It is two storeys high, with three bays, featuring 12-pane sash windows with stepped voussoirs. The central door opening has a six-panelled door and an arched fanlight, situated above an open pediment supported by two pilasters and two brackets. An early 19th-century flat-roofed glazed porch with pilasters flanks the outer door opening. Low ornamental cast-iron railings form a parapet along the roofline. Low ornamental wrought-iron railings enclose the forecourt, with a 20th-century gate. The group value of this building lies in its contribution to the character of the area.
